Meet the AwakeNZ Team

Tim Stephenson — Founder & Director

Tim Stephenson is the founder and director of AwakeNZ, a New Zealand‑owned sleep‑health service helping people across the country understand and improve their sleep. Based in Omokoroa, Bay of Plenty, Tim leads AwakeNZ with a clear purpose — to make sleep therapy accessible, effective, and genuinely supportive for every Kiwi.

With years of experience in sleep therapy and CPAP support, Tim has guided hundreds of clients through diagnosis, treatment, and long‑term care. His approach blends clinical expertise with real‑world empathy, ensuring that every person feels informed, comfortable, and confident in their sleep journey.

Tim’s vision for AwakeNZ grew from seeing how complex and intimidating sleep therapy could seem for new users. He set out to change that — building a service that offers multi‑night home sleep testing, CPAP setup and optimisation, and ongoing support that’s simple, affordable, and tailored to each individual.

Under his direction, AwakeNZ has become known for its responsive service, clear communication, and nationwide reach — helping clients from Cape Reinga to Bluff access professional sleep care without the barriers of traditional clinics.

“Better sleep changes everything — your health, your energy, your life. My goal is to make that transformation easy and achievable for every New Zealander.”
